SAMARTEX INITIATES COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMME AT KWAW MENSAH VILLAGE Kwaw Mensah is a village off the Amuaku-Prestea road of 24.99KM from Samreboi, in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal, Western Region, Ghana. Asante Akyem is a village about 3KM off the Sureso-Samreboi road and also about 22KM from Samreboi, in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipal, Western Region, Ghana. The village and its surrounding communities have no electricity, no treated water, no healthcare facility, deplorable school structure, deplorable roads, etc, compelling Management of Samartex to initiate a monthly medical outreach, which commenced on February 24, 2021.    The outreach team comprised 5 medical staff, including the Resident Doctor of Samartex Hospital, Doctor Tijani, started with a health talk, before proceeding to actual screening and consultation. A total of 87 patients were seen, with varying health and medical conditions.…

The occasion commenced with a private outdoor Birthday party, held at his residence. INTRODUCTION Management of Samartex Timber and Plywood Company Limited initiated drastic preventive measures from the beginning of March, 2020, even before COVID-19 became a national concern. This is due to our significant expatriate community whose nationalities cut across four different continents. Another major factor is our diverse customers, majority of whom come from Europe and Asia to inspect their products. In addition, the entire Samreboi community and its environs are largely dependent on the company for any form of social and medical interventions. Ghana’s 63rd Independence Day Celebration in Samreboi was hosted and sponsored by Samartex Timber and Plywood Company Limited. The events commenced with a march-past by all 30 JHS and Primary Schools within the Samreboi Circuit. The best marched and dressed-up schools were awarded with Trophies, Certificates and Cash Prizes. For the Primary Category, Modish Royal came 1st, Samartex School followed with Aboifie M/A in 3rd position.
