Samartex employees as usual, and as has become tradition, celebrated this year’s Labour Day in Grand style. More so, because this was the first workers' Day to be celebrated openly and in full capacity since the COVID 19 pandemic.

The theme for this year's workers' day is "Samreboi Sanitation Agenda: together it is Possible".

The May Day event was used to outdoor the theme above, which implies that the sanitation agenda isn’t the sole responsibility of Samartex timber & Plywood Company Limited but rather the community.

Some of the events for the May Day celebration included: a clean-up exercise, major drainage desilting with machines, tree planting, a health walk, an award ceremony for long service and outstanding employees, etc.

There was also a skill training program for community members and employees in organic chemical manufacturing: tie & dye, organic weedicide, organic fertilizer, soap making, detergent making; farming: snail farming, Beekeeping, Mushroom farming; Catering: Bread baking, banana bread, brown sugar, yogurt preparation, etc.

The climax of the celebration was a performance by musician Kofi Kinaata at the Samartex sports stadium.
