SAMARTEX SENSITIZES 3RD YEAR JHS STUDENTS IN SAMREBOI ON DRUG ABUSE

As part of our continuous drug abuse awareness campaign, Samartex organized education and sensitization on drug abuse awareness for all 3rd year junior high students in Samreboi. The programme was held at the church of Pentecost auditorium on November 22, 2019 for the following schools with a total attendance of 375 pupils

  1. Samartex Junior High School
  2. Samreboi M/A Junior High School
  3. Aboifie Junior High School
  4. Anglican Junior High School
  5. Catholic Junior High School
  6. Jehovah Nissi Junior High School
  7. Amoaku Junior High School
  8. King Solomon Junior High School

The students were taken through group discussions on drug abuse, health implications as well as effects on ones education. This was followed by a visual presentation led by midwifes from Samartex hospital.

The last session was in the form of questions and answers where students were given the platform to express their views, make contributions and concerns were addressed.

Among the facilitators were; Ms Ellen Appiah Amankwah, Ms. Beatrice Quayson and Mr. Andrews Amoah-Mensah medical staff from Samartex hospital and Mr. Kofi Asamoah, a teacher from Samartex School Complex.
