Samartex Inaugurates Women Empowerment Group for Samreboi Community on October 28, 2023

As part of the Company's Corporate Social Responsibility, it dawned on top management to empower women of the Community to believe in themselves by identifying their abilities

to develop them to enable them to become independent in their homes, workplace, community and beyond. The programme which was themed “Empowering Women for a Better

Tomorrow”, took place at the Forest Club, Samreboi. It commenced at 6 a.m. with a float across communities to create awareness for the inauguration.

After that, the main programme started at 11 a.m. The programme, chaired by Mrs Gloria Hasford, Tarkwa NCCE Director, was also graced with the presence of some prominent

dignitaries such as Mr Richard Nsenkyire (Managing Director, Samartex), Mr Ransford Quaidoo (General Manager, Samartex), Mr John Albert Asmah (Financial Controller, Samartex),

The Venerable Father James Amoako (Anglican Church, Samreboi), Pastor Akomanni ( Samreboi), Nana Owusu (Tigarikrom Odikro) Others were Mrs Gloria Eshun (Principal, Modish Royal, Samreboi),

Mrs Mariam Tuffour (Director, BAMS, Samreboi), Mrs Millicent Quaidoo (C.E.O, Rainbow Montessori, Tarkwa), and Mrs Rosemond Owiredu (Head, Samartex School Complex).


During the event, the executives of the group (of which Mrs. Christina Nkoom is the President) were officially introduced to the Community.

A few special guests addressed the gathering. The Venerable Father James Amoako helped to raise some funds from the gathering to be used as seed money for the activities of the group.

And during the appeal for funds, Mr. Ransford Quaidoo (Samartex General Manager) on behalf of management, made a cheque presentation to the group.

In all, over eight hundred (800) women attended the programme. Out of this number, a total of 500 women registered to be members. Registration is still ongoing.
