SAMARTEX SCHOOL GRABS 5 AWARDS AT THE TEACHERS AWARD CEREMONY FOR ALL JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS IN WASSA AMENFI WEST

  • The Awards ceremony organized by the Municipal Education Directorate, aimed at recognizing the efforts and exemplary contribution of hardworking teachers, which reflected in the performance of students and the school at large, for the 2019 academic year.
  • Samartex School stole the show by winning the most awards:
  1. Best School (2019 BECE results)
  2. Best Overall Teacher (Primary, Junior High and Senior High School): Kofi Asamoah Armoo
  3. Runner Up Best overall Teacher: Jones Asaah
  4. Best Teacher Primary: Mark Donkor
  5. Runner Up Best Teacher Primary: Raymond Cudjoe
  • The Award Recipients and Heads of School officially presented the awards to management of Samartex on September 9, 2020 at the Managing Director’s Office
  • Ms. Rosemond Wiredu (JHS Head) expressed appreciation to management for continuous support and checks on the school and teachers which has always kept them on their toes.
  • The Managing Director, Mr. Richard Nsenkyire commended and congratulated the award recipients. He also commended the Heads of the school for staying on track and gradually executing the vision for the school. He urged them to work harder to take it a step further to the Regional and National level.
  • The Managing Director assured the Teachers that, the Company was still committed to providing the necessary resources and also expose the Teachers externally, to provide equal opportunity as their counterparts in the cities.
  • The General Manager, Mr. Ransford Quaidoo congratulated the award winners and advised that Students and Teachers should reflect the Samartex image and culture in and out of School, with their lifestyle and interactions.
  • The Human Resource Manager, Mr. Thomas Assasie-Gyimah offered his congratulations and expressed lack of surprise, since the recipients were the same faces who go the extra mile to sacrifice resource and time on their job. He urged the Heads to encourage other teachers to be more committed and dedicated to the task of bringing up future leaders.
  • Mr. Kofi Asamoah (Best Teacher) thanked management for the reassurance and requested that aside academics, more investment should be made into sports; a point seconded by the Managing Director, who advocates for a healthy mind in a healthy body. He declared all sports facilities of the Company open to the School and requested that more sports clubs are formed as part of extra curriculum activities.
  • The Heads of the School (Ms. Rosemond Wiredu – JHS and Ms. Yvonne Yeboah - Primary) then presented the award for Best School to the Managing Director to bring the meeting to a close.
