The Mahogany Open which took place at Samartex Golf Club was organized by Samartex Timber & Plywood Company Limited and PGA Ghana, sponsored by Safari Group Of Companies and Asuogyaman Company Limited.

The Mahogany Open was the first of 4 Opens leading to the final “Obotan Open” The concept is to rebrand and Project professional golf in Ghana and internationally

The invitation was open to all professional golfers and amateurs, who represented in their numbers.

The 4-day tournament commenced on March 3, 2022, and ended on March 6, 2022

The President of the Professionals Golfers Association (GPA) Ghana, Mr. Mark Kwofie expressed his profound gratitude to Samartex for recognizing Golfers in Ghana and serving the spirit of the sport in the Country.

The tournament was coordinated by Samartex and the PGA’s tournament Director Mr. Akwasi Prempeh.

At the end of the tournament, Mr. Vincent Torgah of Samartex Golf Club and Centre of the world Club grabbed the highest award as winner of Professionals – Men's

Other Winners Include: 

2nd Place Mr. Amos Koblah – Achimota Golf Club

3rd place Mr. Maxwell Owusu Bond – Royal Golf Club

Ladies 1st place Ms. Jane Lee - Center of the world & Achimota golf Club

            2nd place Ms. Agnes Adams – Ankobea Golf Club

Scratch Winner Mr. Prince Agyiri – Damang Golf Club

            2nd place Mr. Adams Abdullah – Celebrity Golf Club

            3rd Place Mr. George Bursonage – Royal Golf Club

Amateur 1st place Mr. Eric Ofosuhene - Boknamkim Golf Club

               2nd place Mr. Peter Brago – Ankobrah Golf Club

              3rd place Mr. Isaac Addae – Tarkorah Golf Club
