Samreboi Flooding 2023 Throughout the initial weeks of June through to late July, various communities in Samreboi experienced a remarkable rise in rainfall levels, which had severe implications for the individuals residing in those areas. Nsuokyir, Aboifie, and Cocoase were the communities that were affected the most by the extreme downpour, which lasted intermittently for several weeks causing flooding. The unexpected flood was also a result of the overflow of the Tano River as a result of the heavy rains and adjacent streams into these communities and the absence of proper care for the environment due to illegal mining activities.…

SAMARTEX AUTOCAD TRAINING Samartex held a 30-day training in AutoCAD for its workers commencing 23rd May and ending 30th June 2023. This training was facilitated by We’re Tech Company Ltd., with training instructor, Mr. Daniel Donkor. This AutoCAD training was for designing and drafting purposes. During the first week, the training focused on introducing the participants to thefundamentals of AutoCAD. The second week delved deeper into AutoCAD functionalities. Francis Torgah of Samartex Golf Club emerged victorious, with the highest award, “Winner-Professionals” at the PGA Captain’s Golf Championship, held at Centre of the World Golf Club, Tema from 30th March to 1st April 2023. The CEO of FC Samartex 1996, Mr. Richard Nsenkyire grabbed the Thumbs Up Award on behalf of FC Samartex 1996 at the Ghana Football Awards Ceremony on July 2, 2022. The award is in recognition of tremendous effort and investment in football development in Ghana (infrastructure, talent development). FC Samartex 1996, who just qualified from Division 1 to Premier League, has strong youth teams and already venturing into women’s football and boasts of a Premier Standard Stadium and other facilities. Samartex held a two-day certificate short course training for its cooks, caretakers, ward assistants, and bar attendants on June 22 and 23, 2022 at the management clubhouse, Samreboi. The training was centered on food hygiene with three facilitators from the University of Kwame Nkrumah Science and Technology, Kumasi in the persons of Jacob Agbenorhevi, Ph.D., Herman E. Lutterodt, Ph.D., and Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria M. Ankrah- Brewoo.
